By Road: Gir National park is 60 km from Junagadh, the most common base for making a visit, and 357 km from Ahmedabad.

By Rail: One can travel by rail to Junagadh from Ahmedabad and then take a 65Km road trip on bus or taxi to Sasan Gir.

Time: Open 7 pm - 11 am and 3 pm - 5:30 pm.

4) SOMNATH TEMPLE

Shree Somnath is first among the twelve Aadi Jyotirlings of India. It has a strategic location on the western coast of India and is built at the shore of the Arabian ocean on the western corner of the Indian subcontinent. This pilgrimage is one of the oldest and have a great significance in the Indian Heritage. The shore temple of Somnath is believed to have been built in 4 phases-in gold by Lord Soma, in silver by Ravi, in wood by lord Krishna and in stone by King Bhimadeva. The temple is consists of Garbhgruh, Sabhamandap and Nrityamandap with a 150 feet high Shikhar. The Kalash at the top of the Shikhar weighs 10 tons and the Dhwajdand is 27 feet tall and 1 foot in circumference. H

5) RANN OF KUTCH

Covered in the Sahyadri range, at an altitude of about 1000m, the Dangi enclave derives its name from the Snake god revered by the tribals and translates as 'the abode of serpents'. Saputara is the only hill station of Gujarat, is minimally commercialized, still conserved.
